The Langeberg region

Located between the N1 and N2 national highways that connect Cape town with the Inland and the Garden Route and with the R60 and R317  being the primary connectors of these two major routes.

The five towns that make up the Langeberg Municipal area are as different from one another as any five beautiful sisters, each with its own personality and strong points. Singly and together they represent an incredible pool of real investment opportunities.
The area is already a vibrant economic unit, producing wines, fresh fruit, canned products, dairy products, and fresh and processed meats.
It is one of SA’s most extensive vineyard heartlands with well over 50 estates producing excellent wines of origin for the local and export market.
Apples, peaches, pears and apricots, tomatoes, figs and table grapes are all grown in abundance as a result of a benign climate and good, if not plentiful rain. An excellent irrigation system of canals provide enough water all year round.
Sheep farming, poultry, alpacas, dairy cattle, and even race horses find the fertile fields of this part of the Western Cape an ideal and healthy breeding ground.
Cape Town is less than2 hours drive away, and the road network is excellent so that the transport component of most manufacturing concerns is attractively economic.
The local population provides a fine pool of human resources. Here all shades of the Rainbow Nation are well represented and live in harmony.
The total population as reported in the last census is 97 724.
